UP Front Gallery, an artists collective in the heart of Issaquah, brings to the public some of the most important visual art on the Eastside. Our retail gallery connects art lovers with local artists, supporting and reinforcing the growth of the arts in our community.
When the Grand Central Hotel was constructed, Issaquah was a stopover point for passengers traveling by train from Seattle to Snoqualmie. James Henry Croston, who worked in the mines as a carpenter, built the hotel in 1903 and operated it until his death in 1913. The family sold the hotel in 1920.
Nestled in the valley between the forested slopes of Squak Mountain and Cougar Mountain in the Issaquah Alps, our nursery is located in an idyllic natural setting that lets you forget the urban world just minutes away.
Sculpture park titled Ex-Nihilo, which means something created from out of nothing in Latin. Ex-Nihilo is located right alongside State Route 706.
On the weekend the Sammamish Art Fair was the main attraction, with hundreds of art lovers of all kinds enjoying exhibitions and live performances in the library and at city hall.
